Charter guests enjoying a waterslide off a charter yacht

Yacht Charter with Waterslide: Yachts, Brokers, Booking

Late morning in a Greek bay, anchor down, breakfast cleared. The crew has been busy on the sundeck for twenty minutes, and now a bright inflatable slide runs from the top of the yacht straight into water so clear you can see the sand. The first guest to try it is usually the one who said they’d “just watch.” A yacht charter with a waterslide is one of the most requested toys in chartering, and the brokers know it: they file these yachts in their own category.

In short: to charter a yacht with a waterslide, start with the broker categories (Fraser and Northrop & Johnson both list “waterslides”), book early (Fraser advises six months minimum for peak season), and confirm the slide is on board for your dates. The crew sets the slide up at anchor in calm, protected water and supervises its use. Weekly rates on the yachts we saw listed started around $200,000 and ran past $580,000.

Where to find a yacht charter with a waterslide

Two of the big charter brokers give waterslides a category of their own. Fraser has a “Luxury Yachts for charter with Waterslides” collection and notes that modern yacht slides range up to designs “exceeding 13 metres.” Northrop & Johnson listed 33 charter yachts with waterslides when we checked in October 2026, and says the slides aboard come from FunAir and FreeStyle, two of the makers in our makers directory.

Broker lists change all the time as yachts join and leave the charter market, so treat any list (including ours below) as a starting point. The broker confirms what’s on board for your dates.

Ask the broker whether the slide is still aboard and which deck it runs from. A slide from a high sundeck is a very different ride from one off the main deck.

Booking lead time

Yachts with slides are popular with families, which makes them hard to get in school holidays. Fraser’s advice: “Six months minimum for peak season, though the most sought-after vessels often require booking a year ahead.” If your dates are fixed, start early and have a short list of two or three yachts.

How the slide works on charter

You don’t lift a finger. Fraser describes it this way: “The slide deploys when your yacht anchors in calm, protected waters. Your captain assesses conditions carefully, while the crew manages setup.” Once it’s up, it stays available while you’re at anchor. The crew also supervises: Fraser says crew “supervises all activities,” assessing weather and sea state and making sure life jackets suit each guest.

Setup time depends on size. FunAir’s smallest QuickShip slides go up with one or two crew in under 15 minutes, its Hanger in about 20 minutes, and its big custom Riser in about 60 minutes. The largest slides can be lifted into position with a crane or davit. FunAir even builds a Self-Lifting slide aimed at “busy charter yachts,” and can print the yacht’s or charter brand’s logo on it.

One thing you won’t get from anyone is a wind limit or a minimum age: no slide maker publishes either. The captain decides on the day, and with children, an adult and crew watch every run.

Questions to ask the broker

  • Is the slide aboard for my dates, and from which deck does it run?
  • How long is the slide, and is there a separate, smaller option for young children?
  • Are there any rules on riders (weight, one at a time, feet first) set by the crew?
  • Which other toys come with it: sea pool, floating platform, paddle boards?
  • Where do we plan to anchor, and how sheltered are those anchorages?

Charter waterslide questions

How much is a yacht charter with a waterslide?

The yachts we saw listed with waterslides started at about $203,000 a week and went up to $585,000 and more. Rates vary by season and destination; ask the broker what’s included.

Can kids use the slide?

Brokers market slides to families. No maker publishes a minimum age, so the crew sets the rules on board and supervises.

Can the slide be used while underway?

No. Slides go up at anchor, in calm, protected water, when the captain is happy with conditions.

Are there smaller boats with slides for a day trip?

Yes. Excursion catamarans in places like the Costa Brava and Punta Cana carry slides; see charter and excursion boats.
