Boat show weekend. The kids have already found the one pontoon on the floor with stairs to a second deck and a slide hanging off the side, and they’re not leaving it. If you’re now browsing for a pontoon boat with slide for sale, this page explains what a factory slide involves, what to ask the dealer, and how a double-decker compares with adding an inflatable slide to a pontoon you choose for other reasons.

Looking at two-level boats specifically? Our guide to the double decker pontoon with slide covers the models, upper-deck ratings and what to check.

In short: a pontoon with a slide is usually a double-decker with a fixed fiberglass slide from the upper deck, sold as a factory option. Bennington’s Top Deck is the documented example, with an upper deck rated for four people or 585 lb on the L25. If you’d rather keep a single-deck boat, inflatable pontoon slides strap on and are rated for one rider up to 200 lb.

Double decker pontoon with slide: how the factory option works

A double-decker pontoon has a raised deck, usually over the stern or the middle of the boat, reached by a ladder or steps. The slide starts from that deck and curves down to the water beside or behind the boat. Because the slide starts higher than any inflatable pontoon slide, the ride is longer and faster, which is the whole appeal.

Bennington builds this as its Top Deck layout. The maker describes a fiberglass slide with adjustable water pressure. Boating magazine’s review of the L25 Quad Bench Top Deck adds detail: the upper structure is through-bolted to the boat’s crossmembers; the top deck has a pebbled, non-skid surface with a perimeter channel to drain water; maximum occupancy up there is four people or 585 lb; and the slide is wetted by water from the shared washdown pump. The reviewer also noted the open perimeter rail sits “at about knee height,” lower than some competitors’ enclosures, which is worth seeing in person if you have small children.

Shopping for a pontoon boat with slide for sale

We don’t sell boats, and we only name builders whose slide option we’ve confirmed from their own pages or a published review. Right now that’s Bennington. Other builders may offer something similar; the dealer is the place to ask, and their brochure is the place to confirm it. Whether you buy new or used, take this list along:

  1. Which models and years have the slide? A factory slide is tied to a specific layout. Ask which lengths and floor plans offer it.
  2. What’s the upper deck rated for? Get the number from the capacity plate or the maker (Bennington’s L25 top deck: four people or 585 lb), and make it the rule on board.
  3. How is the slide wetted? On the Bennington L25 it’s the shared washdown pump with adjustable flow. Ask how the water is switched on and off.
  4. How high is the rail on the top deck? See it yourself with the people who will use it.
  5. How does the extra height affect trailering and storage? Measure your garage, lift or boathouse before you fall in love.
  6. For a used boat: ask for the original build sheet to confirm the slide is factory-fitted, and have the upper deck mounts and slide checked by a marine service shop.

A review site puts it simply: fixed pontoon slides “require an upper deck and professional installation.” We found aftermarket upper-deck kits for pontoons but no stand-alone aftermarket rigid slide kit, so plan on the factory route if you want a fixed slide.

The add-on route: an inflatable slide on any pontoon

Most families with pontoons get their slide this way. It costs a fraction of a new boat, works on a single-deck pontoon, and comes off in minutes when you want the deck back. The trade-off is height: inflatable pontoon slides are 4.5 to about 6 ft tall, with 8 to 9 ft sliding surfaces, and every maker we checked limits riders to 200 lb.

Of these, the RAVE and the Spillway were in stock on Amazon when we checked in October 2026, at about $320 and about $605. The Spillway needs a pump with a Halkey Roberts adapter, like the Airhead 12V pump below (about $72).

Factory slide or inflatable: which suits you?

  • Buying a new boat anyway and want the big ride: look at a double-decker with a factory slide, and check the top deck’s capacity and rail height.
  • Happy with your current pontoon: an inflatable slide is the documented add-on.
  • Riders over 200 lb: the inflatable pontoon slides we list won’t suit them; a factory slide’s limits come from the builder, so ask.
  • Tight storage or a low boathouse: an inflatable rolls up; a top deck adds permanent height.

Whichever you choose, the water rules are the same: anchor in water deep enough for the slide (RAVE asks for at least 5 ft), engine off, one rider at a time. See water depth and clearance.

Pontoon with slide questions

Where can I find a pontoon boat with a slide for sale?

New: through the builder’s dealers (for Bennington, ask for a Top Deck model with the slide). Used: boat listing sites and dealers’ brokerage boats; check the build sheet to confirm the slide is factory-fitted.

How many people can be on the top deck?

Whatever the builder rates it for. On the Bennington L25 Quad Bench Top Deck, Boating magazine reports four people or 585 lb.

Does a factory slide need water running on it?

Bennington’s slide has an adjustable water supply; on the L25 it comes from the washdown pump. Ask the dealer how it’s controlled on your model.

Can adults use an inflatable pontoon slide?

Yes, within the maker’s 200 lb rider limit, one at a time.
