Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains what information BoatSlide (boatslide.com) collects when you visit, how it is used, and the choices you have. BoatSlide is published by Staricon.

What we collect

  • Messages you send us. If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, subject and message. We use them only to reply to you.
  • Visit statistics. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read and how visitors find the site. It uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. We don’t use it to identify you personally.
  • Server logs. Like most websites, our web host keeps technical logs (such as IP address, browser and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.

Affiliate links and other sites

Some links take you to stores such as Amazon. When you click one, that store may set its own cookies so it can tell that you came from BoatSlide; this is how we earn a commission (see our affiliate disclosure). Once you are on another site, its own privacy policy applies. Embedded content (for example videos) behaves as if you visited the site it comes from.

Cookies

Cookies are small files your browser stores. We use them for visit statistics (Google Analytics), and stores use them for affiliate links. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information. It is handled by the services that run the site: our web host, Google Analytics, and the stores you choose to visit through our links.

How long we keep it

Messages are kept only as long as needed to answer and follow up. Statistics are kept according to our Google Analytics settings.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you (for example a message you sent). Write to us through our contact page. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law.

Children

BoatSlide is written for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
